LTH-kören har i hela 25 år spridit sång och glädje i Lund, med start i samband med invigningen av Kårhuset 1994. Vid vårt jubileum i höst hoppas vi nå dem som sjungit med oss under åren, såväl som nya och gamla åhörare. Tillhör du någon av dessa grupper ska du läsa vidare! I korta drag innebär firandet en konsert med fritt inträde i Universitetshuset 16 November 2019, följt av en fest på Kårhuset för alumni.

Kort tillbakablick

Förutom att hålla årliga höst- och vårkonserter är det också en självklarhet att fira jubileum, vilket vi gör vart femte år. Sedan vårt senaste jubileum (HT 2014) har kören hunnit med en hel del: Kören har medverkat i större körsamarbetsprojekt där vi bland annat fått sjunga musik från TV-spelsvärlden tillsammans med orkester. Vi har också haft egna konserter med teman såsom YouTube och Earth Choir. Under ett besök i Baskien kunde vi konstatera att körens klassiker, som ABBAs Dancing Queen, går hem även där.

Fast kören håller kvar vid många goda traditioner har vi också fortsatt att utvecklas. Genom körens levnadstid har vi letts av inte mindre än nio duktiga dirigenter och när ni kommer och lyssnar på jubileumskonserten får ni höra en del hyllningar till dem, bland annat kompositioner av nuvarande dirigent Siri Arvidson och före detta dirigent Simon Peterson. Vi lovar att det blir något som ni aldrig hört förut men garanterar också några gamla klassiker!

Jubileumskonsert

Jubileumskonserten kommer att anordnas i universitetsaulan. Den kommer att börja 16.00 och pågå i ca 90 minuter inklusive paus. Konserten kommer bl.a. innehålla ett uruppförande av ett verk som LTH-körens tidigare dirigent Simon Petersson komponerat, verk som nuvarande dirigent Siri Arvidson komponerat samt en blandning av gammalt och nytt.

Jubileumsfesten

Efter konserten och en promenad till Kårhuset och restaurang Moroten och Piskan, blir det fest! Nuvarande och tidigare sångare i LTH-kören samt vänner till kören är välkomna tillsammans med sina respektive.
Anmälan till festen ska göras här (sista anmälan: 22/10).

Festen kommer starta med förmingel klockan 18.30 för att sedan fortsätta in på småtimmarna. För 375 kr/person ingår en trerätters middag fylld med sång och underhållning samt ett exemplar av den uppdaterade Gul bok version 5.0. #freshfromthepress

För den som önskar alkohol till middagen erbjuder vi ett dryckespaket med 1 glas bubbel och 2 glas vin för 125 kr/person. Utöver drycken som serveras under middagen finns det möjlighet att köpa själv i baren, öppen under hela kvällen. Efter middagen är det dags att vicka på höfterna när DJ Curry spelar svängig musik.

Klädsel under kvällen kommer att vara Mörk kostym. Vill du spexa, gyckla, tala eller på annat sätt underhålla under festen ser vi fram emot att få veta på för bästa planering.

The LTH choir, have been keeping our traditions alive for 25 great years. With five years apart, it is time to celebrate the choir’s anniversary this fall. We hope to reach those that have sung with us as well as new and previously seen ears of the audience. In summary, the celebration is mainly made out of a consert with free admission and a party for members and alumni.

Looking back

From last occation in 2014 the choir sung, among other epic musical projects, in collaboration with other choirs and an orchestra, music from the world of video games. We have had our own concerts with themes such as YouTube and Earth Choir. The choir visited a choir in Basque Country and discovered that Dancing Queen is a popular classic there as well.

Through the life of the choir we have been lead by none less than nine fantastic conductors. During the anniversary concert you will hear celebrations to these conductors, among them there will be compositions written by current conductor Siri Arvidsson and previous conductor Simon Petersson. We promise something you have never heard before but can guarantee we have not left out all of the old classics. Don't miss this opportunty to listen to us!

Anniversary Concert

The Anniversary concert will be held in the University Auditorium. It will start at 16:00 and go on for 90 minutes including a break. The concert will, among other things, have original performances of compositions written by LTH choirs previous conductor Simon Petersson, and compositions written by current conductor Siri Arvidsson, as well as a mix of new and old songs.

The LTH choir invites all old members of the choir to sing with us in parts of the concert. If you are interested in joining us on stage, please contact us at to learn about rehearsal times and other details (dress code, schedule).

Anniversary Party

After the anniversary concert and a walk to LTH and the Moroten & Piskan restaurant, it is party time! New and old singers in the LTH choir as well as friends of the choir are welcome with their significant other.

Dress code: Dark suit

The party will start at 18:30 and continue through the evening. For a base price of 375 kr/person you get a three course meal filled with singing and entertainment as well as a copy of the newly updated Yellow Book 5.0. #freshfromthepress

In addition to the above, a deal with 1 glass of champagne and 2 glasses of wine for 125 kr/person is offered. There will also be a bar serving different drinks, open all evening. After dinner we will dance to the beats of DJ Curry.
